Lompoc

Working Community & Military Housing

From Old Town family homes to Mission Hills, Vandenberg Village, and HOA communities across the city, Aqua Creations resurfaces pools throughout all of Lompoc.

Lompoc is a real working community. Mid-century homes through Old Town and the H Street corridor. HOA communities and apartment complexes built up through the 1970s and 80s. A whole housing economy connected to Vandenberg Space Force Base out toward Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village. Each of these areas has its own pool story, and we've worked across all of them.

The Lompoc climate is different from the rest of Santa Barbara County. Heavy marine layer mornings, mild afternoons, and that salt-tinged coastal air that wears on tile and plaster surfaces over time. Our AQUA-GLASS fiberglass finish handles those conditions far better than traditional plaster, which is exactly why Lompoc homeowners, HOA boards, and property managers have trusted us for over 35 years.

What Lompoc Pools Are Up Against

Three conditions that shape how pools wear out across the city.

Marine Layer & Coastal Air

Lompoc sits close enough to the coast to get heavy marine layer mornings and salt-tinged air. Over time that takes a toll on tile lines, coping, and plaster finishes in ways that inland pools never deal with.

HOA & Apartment Complexes

Lompoc has a significant HOA and multi-family housing footprint. Community pools and apartment complex pools see high seasonal use, and they need durable surfaces that hold up to chemicals, sunscreen, and constant traffic.

Older Pool Stock

A lot of Lompoc pools were built in the 1960s through 1980s, especially through the established residential neighborhoods. Most are on their second or third plaster cycle and ready for a finish that lasts significantly longer than another round of replastering.

The Pool Story of Lompoc

Lompoc has always been a working city. It grew up around agriculture, flowers, and the Vandenberg base, and the housing reflects that. Old Town is full of mid-century homes with original or once-replastered pools, most of them put in by families who planned to stay for the long haul. The pools are real, used, and showing the wear of decades.

Mission Hills and the residential developments off Highway 1 built up through the 1970s and 80s. A lot of those homes came with pools as standard suburban features. Now those pools are 40-plus years old, often on their second or third surface, and ready for something that will hold up longer than another short plaster cycle.

Vandenberg Village is its own story. Military families rotate in and out on PCS schedules. Rental properties turn over. Owners often need scheduling flexibility that residential contractors don't always offer. We've worked with Vandenberg-area homeowners and rental operators for years, and we know how to work around timing windows.

Then there's the HOA and apartment side. Lompoc has a real density of multi-family housing, and most of those properties have community pools that see heavy seasonal use. Board members and property managers need contractors who can deliver clean, defensible bids and finish projects without surprise change orders. That's the work we do across the H Street corridor and the newer development areas.

Across all of it, the climate keeps coming up. Lompoc isn't the inland valley. Marine layer mornings are normal. Salt-tinged air rolls in off the coast. Plaster doesn't love either of those conditions. Fiberglass does much better, and our AQUA-GLASS finish has been delivering for Lompoc homeowners since long before fiberglass was a familiar option in residential pools.

We're not based in Lompoc, but we've worked here for decades. The drive from Ventura is part of our regular service range, and we treat every Lompoc project the same way we treat work in our backyard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lompoc Pool Resurfacing FAQs

Answers to the questions we hear most from Lompoc homeowners, HOA boards, and property managers.

Do you service all of Lompoc? +

Yes. We resurface pools throughout Lompoc, including Old Town, Mission Hills, Vandenberg Village, the H Street corridor, and homes throughout the surrounding valley. Our team also serves nearby Vandenberg Space Force Base housing communities. Call us at (805) 672-1695 if you need to verify your address is in our service range.

Do you work with HOAs and apartment complexes in Lompoc? +

Yes. Lompoc has a significant number of HOA communities and apartment complexes that need professional pool resurfacing on a regular cycle. We work directly with property managers, HOA boards, and complex owners across Lompoc to deliver commercial-grade resurfacing on practical timelines.

How does the Lompoc climate affect pool surfaces? +

Lompoc has its own climate profile. Cool marine layer mornings, mild afternoons, and noticeably less heat than the inland valley. That climate creates a different set of conditions for plaster surfaces. Salt-tinged air from the coast can also affect tile and finishes over time. Fiberglass handles both conditions better than traditional plaster, which is one reason we recommend it for Lompoc homes and commercial properties.

Do you work with military and base-area housing? +

Yes. Lompoc sits next to Vandenberg Space Force Base, and we resurface pools at residential homes throughout the Vandenberg Village area and military-adjacent communities. We understand the timing requirements that come with PCS schedules and rental property turnover, and we work to accommodate those windows when scheduling projects.

Do you provide free estimates in Lompoc? +

Yes. Every Lompoc project starts with a free, no-pressure estimate. Call us at (805) 672-1695 or use our contact form to schedule a site visit. We'll walk through your pool's condition and give you a clear written estimate with no surprises.
