Glendora climbs from the 210 and 57 interchange up into the foothills, and we take pool jobs across all of it. Glendora taps draw on three sources, and they do not match
The City of Glendora’s 2023 water report lists wells in the Main San Gabriel Basin, filtered surface water from the Covina Irrigating Company, and imported water from the Metropolitan Water District, a mix of State Water Project and Colorado River supply.
The wells are the hard part of that mix. Groundwater averaged 200 mg/L of hardness, about 11.7 grains per gallon, with results from 120 to 360 mg/L. The treated surface water averaged 98 mg/L, about 5.7 grains. The report does not say which blend reaches which street, so test your own water after a refill rather than assuming last season’s numbers.

Shared pools in Glendora, and who oversees them
A pool counts as public in Los Angeles County when the general public or a private club’s members and guests use it. The county names hotel, motel, inn, and apartment complex pools in that group, along with health clubs and other shared sites. In Glendora, that means the pools at lodging along Route 66, the apartment and condo pools near the 210, HOA community pools, and swim and fitness clubs.
The Recreational Waters Program at Los Angeles County Public Health inspects these pools and reviews construction plans for new public pools and for renovations of existing ones. The county page tells operators in Long Beach, Pasadena, and Vernon to check their own city rules. Glendora is not on that list, so plan around the county program, and call it at (626) 430-5360 to ask whether your resurface scope needs plan review.
