Pool Resurfacing in Fillmore, CA, Up the 126 From Ventura
Aqua Creations brings pool resurfacing to Fillmore with our own in-house crews, about 20 miles east of our Ventura shop on Highway 126. Fillmore summers run hot and dry, and a pool surface here has to stand up to long months of sun and heat.

What a finished pool looks like
Two pools from our project library. They are not Fillmore addresses, but they are the same crews and the same AQUA-GLASS™ finish you would get here.

How much water does your pool hold?
Every resurfacing project ends with a full refill. Enter your pool's size to see roughly how many gallons that is and how long a garden hose would take to fill it.
Average depth is the shallow end plus the deep end, divided by two. The math uses 7.48 gallons per cubic foot, with a rough 0.85 allowance for curved shapes.
This is pure math, not a quote. Real hose flow varies with water pressure, so time your own hose filling a 5-gallon bucket for a better number. Your pool's actual size is measured at the free estimate.
A long dry season inland on the 126
Fillmore sits about 9 miles farther up the Santa Clara River Valley than Santa Paula, the nearest station with NOAA climate normals. There, the normal August high is 82°F and seven months of the year each average under an inch of rain.
That long dry stretch is what wears on a pool interior. Water lost to evaporation gets replaced from the tap, and every top-off leaves its minerals behind on the surface. Warm water speeds up the reactions that turn those minerals into scale, and steady sun burns off chlorine, which pushes owners toward heavier doses that etch older plaster.
Winter is the opposite problem. Most of the year's rain falls from December through March, and runoff, leaves, and dust from open lots wash into pools. If your surface has gone chalky, rough, or stained, our pool resurfacing page walks through what those signs mean.
Climate figures: NOAA 1971 to 2000 normals, Santa Paula station (COOP 047957). NOAA has not published 1991 to 2020 normals for a station in Fillmore or Santa Paula.
A Ventura shop, our own crews, and one straight road east
Our shop is at 1547 Los Angeles Ave in Ventura. From there, Fillmore is a straight drive east on Highway 126 past Santa Paula, about 20 miles as the crow flies.
Founder Richard Dietz Sr. brought AQUA-GLASS™ fiberglass resurfacing to Southern California in 1991, and the company has run on the same rule since: principle before profit. Our crews are on our payroll. We never hand AQUA-GLASS™ work to subcontractors, so the people who look at your pool work for the company that does the job.
Since then the company has completed more than 7,000 projects for homeowners, HOAs, apartments, and hotels. You can read more about Aqua Creations and how we work.
Where Fillmore sits on our routes
Highway 126 is the spine of the valley. Fillmore's downtown runs along Central Avenue just off it, with in-town blocks around it and ranch and farm lots out on the edges. Tell us about steps, slopes, or a narrow side yard when you call.
Santa Paula, west on the 126
About 9 miles back toward Ventura. Santa Paula’s city wells average 551 mg/L of hardness, about 32 grains per gallon.
Santa Paula pool resurfacingMoorpark, south on Highway 23
Highway 23 leaves Fillmore heading south over the hills toward Moorpark and the 118.

Climate figures are for the Santa Paula station, about 9 miles west, because NOAA publishes no normals for a station in Fillmore. Water hardness for Fillmore’s city wells is listed in the City of Fillmore’s annual water quality report.
