Areas We Serve: Pool Resurfacing From the Central Coast to Orange County
The areas we serve run from Paso Robles in San Luis Obispo County down to Irvine in Orange County, and every job is handled by crews who start their day at our shop on Los Angeles Avenue in Ventura. Pick a county on the map to see the ground we cover, then open its page for the towns, the water, and the public pool rules that apply there.
Ventura County: Ventura to Simi Valley and Fillmore
Five county pages, each with its own towns and rules
Each county page lists the towns we cover there, the water suppliers people actually fill their pools from, and the health agency a hotel, apartment, or HOA pool answers to. Start with the county your pool is in.
Ventura County Home base
Our shop, our crews, and the shortest drives. The coast from Ventura to Oxnard stays mild, while Ojai, Simi Valley, and the towns up Highway 126 run hotter in summer.
Los Angeles County
Westside neighborhoods near the ocean, plus Pasadena, Glendale, and the San Gabriel Valley foothills inland.
Orange County
Beach cities such as Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, and inland Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana, and Irvine.
Santa Barbara County
The south coast from Carpinteria to Goleta, the Santa Ynez Valley, and Lompoc and Orcutt farther north. Orcutt is part of Santa Barbara County.
San Luis Obispo County
Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande close to the ocean, and Paso Robles out in the warmer inland valley.
The same county can hand a pool two very different summers
Across our five counties the biggest difference is distance from the ocean. NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals put the average August high at the Santa Monica Pier station near 70°F. About 12 miles inland at downtown Los Angeles, it is 84°F. Both readings are inside Los Angeles County.
Warmer water burns through chlorine faster and drifts out of balance sooner, and water that sits out of balance is what etches or scales a cement finish. Fill water matters too: in Ventura alone, the city's own report lists groundwater hardness near 637 parts per million, against about 297 for water bought from Lake Casitas.
That is why our county pages talk about climate and water supplier by town. We look at both at the estimate, and both are part of why we resurface with gun-laminated fiberglass instead of new plaster.

A public pool needs county sign-off before it is resurfaced
In every county we cover, a pool shared by a hotel, an apartment building, or an HOA is a public pool, and a local environmental health agency, usually the county's, reviews the resurface. We read the resurfacing forms for Ventura, Orange, and San Luis Obispo counties. They ask for the same core things.
Plans approved before any work
Ventura, Orange, and San Luis Obispo counties all ask for the plans to be reviewed and approved before the resurface starts.
A white interior finish
The finish on a public pool is white. Step edges, bench edges, and the waterline tile are the parts that stay a contrasting color.
Contrasting tile lines and depth markers
A slip-resistant tile line where the water reaches 4½ feet, and depth markers at the deep end, the shallow end, and along the edge.
A notice before the final surface
Orange County also wants a call to the health agency before the final surface goes on, and the pool stays closed until the agency approves it in writing.

What our crews resurface across the region
The finish and the crews are the same in Pismo Beach as they are in Pasadena. What changes from county to county is the paperwork for public pools and the conditions the new surface has to live with.

Our crews work in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. The one exception is Rancho Cucamonga. It is in San Bernardino County, and we list it with our Los Angeles County towns because our crews reach it through Los Angeles County.
Pool just past the edge of the map?
Call the office anyway. Tell us the address and the kind of pool, and we will give you a straight answer on whether our crews can take it on.

Whichever of the five counties your pool is in, the estimate is free and comes with no obligation. Homeowners, hotel managers, and HOA boards all start with the same phone call, and financing is available.
