How the services fit together

Full-service pool resurfacing, organized around one surface system

Every service on this page connects back to AQUA-GLASS™, the gun-laminated fiberglass system Aqua Creations has applied since 1991. What changes from job to job is the shell underneath, who owns the pool, and what else needs attention while the water is out.

The surface

What goes on the shell

A pool needs resurfacing when the old finish turns rough underfoot, stains, chalks, or is due for another replaster. We resurface concrete, plaster, gunite, and pebble shells with fiberglass. Start with the surface services if your question is what your pool should be finished in.

The property

Who the pool serves

The finish is the same AQUA-GLASS™ system on a backyard pool and a resort pool. The planning is not. A homeowner cares about summer plans, a hotel about room nights, an apartment manager about resident complaints, and an HOA board about a proposal it can defend.

Around the water

Repairs and upgrades

A drained pool is the best time to fix what surrounds the surface: cracks, an attached spa, waterline tile, coping, anti-entrapment drains, safety rails, and pool plumbing. Bundling them keeps the pool down once instead of twice.

Decision aid

Who are you resurfacing for?

Pick the description closest to you. We will point you to the services most people in your position start with, and the ones they usually add.

Your pool is rough, stained, or due for another replaster

Most homeowners call when the surface has started to wear and the swim season is coming. You want the job done once, by people who explain the work and still answer the phone after the deposit.

  • Is it time to resurface, or can it wait?
  • Which finish suits how we use the pool?
  • What else should be fixed while it is drained?

Every day the pool is drained costs you room nights

A hotel or resort pool is part of what guests paid for. A rough or stained surface becomes a review, and a project that runs long costs revenue. Coastal properties fight salt air; inland properties fight heat and heavy chemical loads.

  • As few days closed as the work allows
  • Health department and VGB drain requirements reviewed up front
  • A surface built for commercial bather loads

Residents notice the pool before they notice anything else

For an apartment or multifamily property, the pool is an amenity residents pay for. A closed pool means complaints, and a degraded surface means liability.

  • Downtime kept as short as the work allows
  • Cracks and surface damage found before they spread
  • Drains and rails brought up to current safety rules

The board needs a proposal it can defend

HOA boards and community managers answer to owners. They need references, VGB compliance, a timeline that finishes before summer, and a finish that supports reserve fund planning.

  • A scope the board can compare against other bids
  • A finish chosen for long service life
  • Safety upgrades handled in the same project

Start here if your pool is rough, stained, chalky, or coming due for its next replaster and you are not sure what it needs. This page walks through the signs, the options, and what decides the cost.

If you are weighing another replaster against a different surface, this page lays out the options side by side so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

  • The signs a surface has reached the end of its life
  • Replaster versus fiberglass, in plain terms
  • What happens from drain-down to refill
  • Spas, tile, and coping done in the same visit

Questions

Choosing between our pool resurfacing services

Still not sure where your pool fits? These are the questions we hear most on a first call.

Ask us directly

Usually more than one, and that is fine. Most projects start with resurfacing and add whatever the assessment turns up, such as a cracked area, worn waterline tile, or a drain that no longer meets current rules. The free assessment tells you which services apply before you commit to anything.

Repair fixes specific cracks or damaged areas on a fiberglass pool or spa that is otherwise sound. Resurfacing replaces the whole surface. The free assessment tells you which one your pool needs.

Yes, and it is usually the smarter order. The pool is already drained, so replacing coping and waterline tile or resurfacing an attached spa at the same time avoids a second shutdown later. Aqua Creations handles coping, tile, and spa work too, so it all goes into one estimate.

Yes. We resurface hotel, apartment, club, and HOA pools, and we handle anti-entrapment drain upgrades and safety rails under the Virginia Graeme Baker Act.

Call the office or request a free estimate. Every pool is different, so we quote after seeing it rather than over the phone.
